Leah Wuergler joined the Legacy Travel team in December of 2007. She is awesome. She grew up in a family excited about travel and spent almost every summer visiting the beach and Disneyland. As an adult, Leah has become passionate about travel as a means of adventure, escape, education and family tradition!
Leah's first adventure out of the country was to Paris in 2004. On her first day there, she got lost on the subway system with a French gang. The next day, she got on the train with a man dressed in full Janet Jackson drag....talk about adventure! She also loved the history in Paris, especially the Notre Dame. It was that trip that made Leah want to see the world.
More recently in 2007, Leah experienced the history in Washington DC by working at Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington.
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." - Robert Frost
While Leah is well versed in several destinations, she specializes in Mexico, Las Vegas and Disney
From our June 2009 Newsletter, here is an interview with Leah:
1) What is the favorite trip you have taken? When I went to Paris with my sister and nephew. There are 2 reasons it was my favorite trip. 1) I have always wanted to go to Paris. 2) I had read a lot of history books about Paris and the DaVinci Code. So not only was there history stuff to look for but also Dan Brown stuff.
2) Where do you want to travel that you have never visited? Ireland – I have some Irish heritage and I want to see where my family came from. I want to see the land poets talk about. There is just something about Ireland that draws me to it. I am obsessed with St. Patricks day. It is my favorite holiday.
3) What do you wish people knew about travel or working with a travel agent? That we (travel agents) really are on their side. We want the customer to have a good time. When the prices are high or there is a flight time change, we did not change the flight time or set the price. We are just trying to work with them through the good and challenging aspects of traveling. .
4) What are your hobbies? Reading, Writing, People Watching, Movies, Wii Fit. Eating Cheese.
5) When you heard I was going to interview you, what question were you afraid I was going to ask? Who let the Dogs Out? I hate that song.
6) What areas in travel do you specialize in? Mexico, Disney, Las Vegas, London and Paris, staring to move into other parts of Europe.
7) What famous person do you wish was a co-worker at Legacy Travel? George Clooney I love him. If he did work here I probably would not get any work done. I would just stare at him all day.
