What you’ll be doing in this exciting (and yes, fun) role.
This position is largely about creating excellent travel experiences. Following training, your job is to listen (really well), diagnose the client’s vacation needs, provide vacation options (including pros and cons), and of course, close the sale. You’ll make travel reservations – including resorts, tour packages, cruises, and airlines. What's more, you'll invoice the client, process payment, and follow up before, during, and after the trip. The goal is to build relationships and encourage repeat business. Obtaining referrals is really nice, too.

Who’s most likely to become our next star?
As an Entry Level Travel Advisor, an outgoing personality is, well … essential. The special person most likely to succeed is also organized, energetic, reliable, likable, a team player, capable of selling – and looking to move up and face an exciting new challenge. You’ll resolve scheduling conflicts and other issues that arise, so strong problem-solving skills are helpful. Oh, and one more thing: because we use state-of-the-art computer apps for an extra edge, it’s important to be a fairly tech-savvy person.
Advantages of this kicka** position.
Unlike many travel agencies, Legacy Travel requires no travel industry experience. We prefer to train the right person for this position. Our training program is among the best. Over the years, we’ve played a role in creating bona fide travel industry stars. Six of our Advisors have made Travel Agent Magazine’s “Top 30 Travel Agents Under the Age of 30” list. The Entry Level Travel Advisor at Legacy Travel is a position with outstanding growth potential. If you’ve been looking for a great career opportunity, please keep reading.

A family-run travel agency in the dream realization business for nearly 30 years.
Legacy Travel began in 1989, so it’s fair to say we’ve got staying power. And we’re growing: Last calendar year, we sold 3,735 vacations and made a lot of travel dreams come true. Our team accomplished all this with a total of 15 employees in Dallas/Plano. We see our size as an advantage. At this family-run business, employees form close bonds, which, among other things, enable us to create unforgettable vacations. Legacy Travel employees help each other deliver amazing service to clients. And we enjoy each other’s company – even when we aren’t working.
